Henry McShane Award

This perpetual award was established by the Ledoux Family in 2002 to honor Hentry McShane, Katie’s Retired Lead Line Horse. This award will be awarded to the High Point Lead Line Rider for the year.

2007 winner is Kaya Beland and Dustin Hoofman

The Lancers Super Smoke Walk Trot Award

This award will be presented to a Walk Trot Horse and Rider combination who has shown in a variety of classes, excelling in Showmanship. A perpetual Award was established in 2003 by the Krause Family in honor of their retired Walk Trot Appaloosa Gelding Lancers Super Smoke. Lance showed in English, Western and Gymkhana, but he and his rider showed their best in Showmanship.

2007 winner is Brannigan McNeil and Principal Texan

JF Paint Farm Junior Award

This award will be presented in the Junior Youth division to the Horse and Rider exhibiting in both English and Western events, excelling in both Showmanship and Trail. A perpetual award was established in 2003 by the Forsyth Family.

2007 winner is Kendall Donohoe and All Zippers Down

The Double Bar Leo Senior Versatility Award

A perpetual award established in 2003 by Jessie (Forsyth) Fifield to honor her retired APHA mare Double Bar Leo. Barley was shown by Jessie during their youth years and excelled in many events. This award will be presented in the Senior Youth division to the Horse and Rider Exhibiting in both English and Western classes and excelling in Showmanship, Western Pleasure, Road Hack and Trail.

2007 winner is Katie Ledoux and Cool Frosty Moon

The “Star” Tribute Award

A perpetual award was established by Bob Brown as a tribute to his Gymkhana horse Star. It is in memory of Stars last pole run that this special award is presented at the Lakes Region Show Series Banquet to honor the fastest Pole Bending Run of the year.

2007 winner is Katies Kowboy and Tom Holly ~ with a time of 26.315

The Gymkhana Rookie of the Year Award

This award is sponsored by David and Madeline Pollard in memory of their great little gymkhana gelding Christi Joe. Christi Joe AKA “Buddy Pollard” was Dave’s first gymkhana horse, and together they accomplished a lot of “firsts”. It is in his memory that Dave and Madeline have asked to sponsor this award at The Lakes Region Show Circuit. This award is given to the person who has made great improvements in their skills as a gymkhana team, over the year of showing.

The Grey Mist Memorial Trophy
A perpetual award established in 2006 by Tammy and Glenn Amnott in memory of Grey Mist.   Grey Mist was a pony hunter who was given many awards in her lifetime. She was Tammy Amnott’s large hunter pony who was shown throughout New England. She was an amazing pony that would jump anything and loved every minute of it. Tammy thinks of her everyday still. This award will be presented to the High Point Horse and Rider in the Hunter Division, who showed in Hunter Equitation, Hunter Hack, Open Hunter Under Saddle and Open Cross Rails.
2007 winner is Kim Durling and Moontaker Meleny

The Buddy Pollard Barrel Award

This award is presented to the horse that holds the fastest barrel time of the season. A perpetual award was established in 2003 in memory of Christi Joe, AKA Buddy Pollard. A great little bay horse that excelled in Barrels and Poles. Buddy passed away in the summer of 2003, the gelding had a big heart and it is in his memory that his friends give this special award in his name to the fastest Barrel Run of the year at the Lakes Region Show Series.
